THINGS TO DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE IN AUSTRALIA

  • Open bank account in any bank, most common banks are commonwealth Bank and ANZ. When you open bank account leave about $300 for food, travel and rent. It might take about 5 working days before you get bank card to withdraw money from the bank.

  • Get to know train stations and buses; the main means of transport for students in Australia are Trains and buses. Weekly and monthly passes are cheap to buy if you are traveling frequently

  • Go to the college or Universities and inform them about your arrival and start course on time. Ask them to inform about your work permit to Department of Immigration.
  • We will help you to get work permit without service fees and this is a MUST to work in Sydney for which immigration will charge AUD 60.00.
  • Everyone needs Tax File Number to work in Australia so apply for TFN online at www.ato.gov.au which is free of cost.
